Start Serving

If you attend the Albuquerque Campus and are looking for ways to get involved, meet new people, and use the time and talents that God has gifted you, please join us on Sunday, and visit the Info Desk in the main foyer, where we will help get you on The City (MH’s online networking site), and plugged into service.

There are many ways you can help serve the body at the Albuquerque Campus, everything from greeting and ushering on Sunday, in Productions running sound, video, or lights, Serving in the Nursery, on Security team, or serving in coffee & hospitality ministries. If you are already on The City, you can view the current campus service needs. You can also email us at abq@marshillchurch.org.

Greeters

A Greeter’s objective is to embody the gospel offering a hospitable welcome, supplying equipping information, and giving out weekly handouts as needed. Greeters also assist in regulating the flow of traffic into the auditorium by working to assure people are entering and being seated in an efficient fashion. You are the first point of contact for visitors and you represent Jesus as you extend a warm welcome to those who attend our services.
You are the human expression of our hospitality. During the service you are the keepers of that level of hospitality; we rely on you to keep your eyes out for mothers w/ crying babies, confused or lost people, temperature issues, any threats to security, distractions, and anything that takes away from the hospitality that we are trying to offer visitors in the name of Jesus.
Commitment: Greeters will arrive 30 minutes before service to check in with Greeter Lead, get weekly updates, and join the team in prayer. In special cases, Greeters may be asked to remain until 15-20 minutes after service. Greeter service is a commitment for six months (a year if Greeter Team Lead), weekly or bi-monthly as needed.

Info Desk

The mission of the Info Team is to help people become more a part of the Body of Christ and specifically the body of Mars Hill Albuquerque. This means welcoming visitors, answering questions about the church, connecting folks with community groups, events, etc.
Requirements: Member of Mars Hill Church or going through the membership process.
Commitment: This means serving at the Info Desk every other Sunday 20 minutes before service and 20 to 30 minutes after each service. There is also some follow up work involved with visitors or members who have questions. Each week you will be assigned a few folks to call and email in order to ensure they have all their questions answered and get more ‘Connected!’

Refreshment

The goal of the refreshment ministry is to practice hospitality for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ (3rd John 1:5-8) as well as to strangers (Matthew 25:35, Hebrews 13:2), to the further glory of our God and King Jesus Christ. Just as our Lord Jesus prepares a place and welcomes us into His Father’s house (John 14:2-4), we also should prepare to be hospitable and people to come to Mars Hill.
Requirements: Member of Mars Hill Church or going through the membership process.
Commitment: This means serving with the Refreshment Team one Sunday a month 20 minutes before service and 20 to 30 minutes after each service.
